Auntie Christine's Random Thoughts

My Photo
Name:
Location: Dallas, TX, United States

When I was a year and 12 days old, I was blessed with the arrival of my twin brothers, Bobby and Eddy. A sister really couldn't have two better brothers, and I am so proud of all they have accomplished in their lives, thus far, including marrying my sisters-in-law, Ann and Christine, respectively. My role model is my mother, who gave up a successful career as a CPA to raise me and my brothers. A mother can give no greater gift to her children then that of her presence. I have many, many cats & dogs! I am a Sooner(www.ou.edu)! I graduated in 1999.

Ruby and Ford's First Thanksgiving

I think I speak for everyone when I say, there are a whole lot of Harkers, Johnsons, and Stimmlers that are thankful for Ruby and Ford this year. Look how fast they are growing up! I can't believe my eyes. I had no idea that babies could eat solids this soon. Yeah, I know, I am clueless. They are so gorgeous!

Another Picture of the Day, Just Because I Can

Okay, so I am shamelessly using this adorable picture of Ruby to distract you from why I am really posting for the second time today. Alright, so I read through my previous post and got to thinking about the “first generation of Stimmler Johnsons” comment and I realized that, eww, the only way there will be a second or third generation of Stimmler Johnsons is if there is, um, inbreeding, and I just want to state for the record we are not that kind of family! Wow, don’t post, people, unless you are really sure you are saying the right thing.

Picture of the Day: Like Mother, Like Daughter

I am a big believer in a picture being worth a thousand words. In this one, my gorgeous niece, Ruby Lee, is modeling the finest in baby haute couture. My sister, Ann, is a throwback to the days of old Hollywood when movie stars dressed like movie stars should. She always has the best outfit with a perfect hat for any occasion. I love that about her; she always looks so glamorous, and from someone for whom the glamorous gene skipped over, I am always endlessly amazed by what Ann can come up with without spending a fortune. Seriously, I will never forget when we went to the horse races at Santa Anita and she looked exactly like what you would see someone wearing in old footage of the glamorous days of Seabiscuit, when people actually got all glammed up to go to the races. No track pants and hoodies for Ann! It really is great, and I hope Ruby takes after her Mommy.

Sure, Ann has her jeans days, but I can’t really remember ever seeing her in a t-shirt, now that I think about it!

It appears my niece takes after her Mommy and is already well on her way to being the fashion queen of the first generation of Stimmler Johnsons. I think her brother will happily relinquish that title!

How sweet are Ruby and Ford, my little pumpkins?! Gorgeous Ruby is on the left and Handsome Ford is on the right. They are the pumpkin's greatest accessory!
